Air Jordan – Spring Summer 2010 Release Info

Posted on June 11th, 2011

Over the last year or so, sneakerheads seem to have become more and more disillusioned with recent Jordan Brand releases. The Air Jordan Force Fusion series definitely had a major hand in turning off a lot of longtime Jordan purists, and even with a number of nice Retro releases, there always seemed to be something for Nike Air Max Skyline about. That said, there appears to be some light at the end of the tunnel with a very strong line-up of both new and retro releases for 2010. Between the spring and summer of next year, Jordan Brand will be bringing back Kids Air Max 2011in four different versions that include both new and beloved OG colorways. On the subject of OG’s, the Air Jordan II will be making a comeback in its original White/Varsity Red/Black “Quarter Finals” colorway. Joining the Retro party will also be a White/Black/Navy snakeskin edition of the Air Jordan XI, which many are speculating to be similar to the Low snakeskin versions that dropped a few years back.

As previously reported on Sneaker News, the Spiz’ike will once again bridge the gap between new and old, paying homage to some classic Air Jordan models with three new colorways, including the super-fresh Bred version that we showed you back in June. On the new model tip, 2010 will see the release of third signature shoe in the Chris Paul CP3 series, as well as the Air Jordan 2010 (XXV), Air Jordan Force Fusion VIII and a variety of other new additions to the Air Jordan family. Keep reading after the jump for a look at some of the most eagerly anticipated pieces of the Spring/Summer 2010 roster, along with a listing of the rest of the confirmed upcoming releases from Jordan Brand. Air Jordan Flight 45 – Air Command Force Inspired – Detailed Images

Posted on June 10th, 2011

Back in May, we showed you a sneak preview of an upcoming version of Kids Air Max 90 that was inspired by the infamous Air Command Force. The classic b-ball model was also recently honored by the Billy Hoyle Hyperize from the White Men Can’t Jump pack and now it shows up again in a somewhat unlikely place. It’s not unheard of for a Nike shoe to take on attributes of a Jordan shoe (see Elephant print), but rarely has it ever been the other way around. In a very interesting move, Kids Air Max Classic BW will take on some signature traits from the Air Command Force, using a White leather upper with Black and Blue accents and a healthy dose of Neon Yellow, including a speckled midsole which is perhaps the most recognizable element from the original Command Force design. It is still unclear when and in what quantities these will be released, but we’ll be sure to keep you in the loop once further details have been confirmed. You can check out more detailed images after the jump, as well as some comparison pics of the OG Air Command Force.? Via FC.T

Air Jordan Force Fusion IV (4) – Black – Varsity Red – Stealth – Available

Posted on June 9th, 2011

Many Fusion haters seem to be letting down their guards when it comes to the Womens Nike Air Max LTD. Aside from the Air Force 1 midsole, the rest of the shoe is nearly identical to the original design, making it hard to find too much to complain about when it comes to these. Many will make the point that producing new alternate versions of classics like the Air Jordan IV somehow cheapens the legacy of the originals, but sometimes when you can’t beat them, you’d might as well join them. As far as Fusions go, this Black/Varsity Red/Stealth colorway of the Womens Nike Air Max LTD 2 does justice to the OG model at a level that will be hard to top, not to mention hard to pass up.

We know how many of you loathe the concept of Fusions and everything about them, but when you’re looking at these in the store next month, it might be more difficult than you’d expect to ignore the fact that they are so similar to the original Air Jordan IV’s, which are one of the most beloved Air Jordan models of all-time. Those who are not swayed by the Fusion factor can already get a pair from 95soleman on eBay.

Air Jordan Force Fusion IV (4) – Black – Varsity Red – Stealth – Release Reminder

Posted on June 9th, 2011

Although they have already been available early at certain retailers, the Black/Varsity Red/Stealth edition of the Womens Air Max Classic BW will officially be released this weekend. The AJF IV is doing its part to help bring credibility to the Fusion line, which as many sneakerheads will tell you, is no easy task. While some past Fusion models like the Air Jordan Force Fusion XX and the controversial upcoming AJF XIII seem to have no business blending an Air Jordan with an Womens Air Max Tailwind 2010, the AJF IV seems to make a much more seamless transition. Thanks to its low cut and design simplicity, these kicks come about as close to the original Air Jordan IV as you’re going to get outside of an actual Retro release. Whether you love or hate this Fusion version of one of the all-time great shoes/colorways in the legendary Air Jordan arsenal, be aware that they will be hitting nationwide retailers tomorrow, August 29th, for your purchasing or ridiculing pleasure.? Air Jordan Force Fusion XIII (13) – White – Black – Varsity Red – New Photos

Posted on June 8th, 2011

Womens Air Max 97 might be the most controversial offering yet from the often-maligned Fusion series, and that’s saying something. While some Air Jordans make for a more seamless transition to the Air Force 1 midsole, this version seems to be forcing the issue a little more than some of the others. One of the key factors that made the original Air Jordan XIII such a special shoe was the design’s flowing lines and shapes. While some of that translates nicely onto the upper of Womens Air Max 2010 , things seem to get a little awkward down towards the midsole. As with all sneakers, beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and to the pro-Fusion crowd, these may very well be embraced, but it’s looking like they might be a harder sell than usual to the Jordan purists or even those who are still on the fence. Take a look at some more detailed pics after the jump and don’t hesitate to let us know where you stand on these polarizing kicks. Via FlightClub.Tistory.

Air Jordan Force IV (AJF 4) GS – Cool Grey – Infared – Neutral Grey

Posted on June 8th, 2011

A new colorway of the Womens Air Max 1 has been released and this new one features a colorway that many would argue is strikingly similar to the various Staple “Pigeon” sneakers including the upcoming New Balance x Staple M575J. The official colorway is Cool Grey, Infared, and Neutral Grey where the upper uses the two different shades of Grey and accents it with Infared. Unlike the Men’s AJF 4, Womens Air Max 24 7version does not feature a visible Air unit, however this colorway is sure to have some Jordan Brand fans asking why it was never made in Men’s sizes. These are available now at select Jordan Brand retailers including LTD Online.
